Chip Matthews began Wrymark Inc. in 1988 with a dedication to provide superior comfort, exceptional support and improved health benefits to its customers. That year, he created the company’s first product, 1st Step, which embodies this commitment to a quality foot health.

From there, Wrymark began Resource Labs, specializing in custom orthotic solutions, supporting patients with unique orthotic needs. Matthews has since added Foot Tech, which gives podiatrists the ability to create custom orthotics in their office quickly.

Since 2002, the company has partnered with qualified healthcare professionals whose research and studies has proven how Wrymark technology provides ideal positioning for the foot, ankle, knee and hip joints.

As patients needs’ change, Wrymark strives to develop cutting-edge technology to better serve their needs by reducing joint stress and increasing their comfort levels. Some of the latest technology includes DynaFlex, which combats painful push-offs and Solelay, which provides an orthotic solution for use in dress shoes specifically. Solelay is also available with EZ Post, a rear-foot clip that allows podiatrists to easily adjust the off-the-shelf orthotic to meet patients’ requirements.

Today, hundreds of thousands of clients depend on these products to help improve their mobility and quality of life. Wrymark currently does business with a number of manufacturers and clinics, colleges, universities, professional sports teams and individual athletes.
